Battery Backup & Power Inverter Systems
Battery Backup & Power Inverter Systems includes aftermarket uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) for use with existing 110V or 230V gate operators. Some of the units are designed for specific operators and have included a switching circuit, a small DC powered backup motor, and the battery backup unit itself. The larger power inverter units can be used with any gate operator but are much more expensive and will need to be sized according to the power requirements on your specific install. Features and capacity of aftermarket battery backup systems are not as robust as gate operators that have battery backup built in from the factory and run full time on a DC motor. Make sure to compensate for any additional accessories that will need backup power such as keypads, telephone entries, card readers, exit loops, photoeyes, timers, etc...
